The mixed element of Air-Earth

The Air-Earth

On the basis of chakra charts of the Air and the Earth we can see that these elements have much in common. They differ from each other only in the direction of the celestial body (the Sun, the Moon). The rest of the chakra flows coincide. The "main celestial body" in each of these elements (material Moon for the Earth and spiritual Sun for the Air) has white direction. In case if the Sun and the Moon acquire the output or "white" direction simultaneously, the merge of the Air and the Earth elements takes place. Possessing the features and characteristics of the Earth and the Air, the mixed element of Air-Earth embodies the duality of human nature. If the Air works with spiritual values (the Sun is more important), and the Earth with the material (the Moon is more important), the Air-Earth, in a sense, attempts to materialize the spirit and spiritualize the sunstance.

In this case, the characteristics of both "pure" elements at the level of solar and lunar chakras are distorted in some way, losing the harmony peculiar to the "pure" elements. The specifics of these distortions is determined by two basic principles:

1. «The White Sun: The Earth afoot». Characteristic for the "pure" Earth Black Sun changes to White. Conservative Earth loses peace and stability. Armed with the idea, it tends to spread and expand, using quite material, "earth" methods, often forced and violent. A typical example is the military expansion of any state, which is often accompanied by the formation of the federation. For the sake of expanding of the borders and spheres of influence, including ideological, "Earth afoot" sacrifices the absolute centralization of power and total control over the whole territory, providing the conquered lands with some degree of autonomy. Particularly, Ottoman Empire was created this way.

2. «The White Moon: The separated Air». The energy of the "pure" Air includes the Black Moon, prone to partnership and cooperation. Changing the direction of lunar chakra, the Air gets self-sufficiency, isolation, and the desire to divide other people basing on the principle "friend-or-foe". It can be said that the Air unites like-minded around the idea, and the Air-Earth fights with the ideological enemies. In the historical scale, this often led to brutal violence and harassment against the members of other religions, heretics, abjurers, "public enemies". For example, such situation was a harsh reality during the communist regime when any dissident could be declared a state criminal and subjected to all sorts of repressions, including physical destruction.

Thus, representing both the state and the ideology, the Air-Earth produces material and ideological unification in society. This element considers a person to be not only a taxpayer and a subject, but also a supporter and a defender of the dominant ideas of the state.

Having a need in the opposition of the "own" and "someone else’s" idea, the Air-Earth necessarily finds the ideological enemy and begins to "proselytize" by means of the internal repressions, or by invasive wars. The initial commitment to the idea and the energy of the Black Saturn lead to the fact that the Air-Earth says a lot about the threat of someone else's idea and then implements a disproportionate attack "as the best defense" at the slightest hint of the implementation of this threat.

In real-life situations one of the original "pure" elements mostly dominates in the Air-Earth. Some situations are closer to the Earth, other - to the Air, but the implementation of both principles is traced in each of them in one form or another. As a rule, the effect of this element is clearly manifested at the level of major historical events and social phenomena, such as the state, politics, religion, war, where a case in point is the war on the religious grounds.

The element of Air-Earth is embodied in the extensive work of the outstanding Islamic ruler and conqueror, Turkish Sultan Suleiman I, who became one of the most important people in the history of not only their country but also of Europe of that time. The Europeans called him the Magnificent, but the Turks called him only as the Legislator. The inscription on the Süleymaniye Mosque, built in Suleiman’s honor says: The Spreader of sultanic laws. The most important Suleiman’s merit as the Legislator was the establishment of the Islamic culture in the world. His enigmatic personality, magnificent monuments, established during his reign, and the recordings of his contemporaries always aroused great interest. Suleiman the Magnificent, Sultan of Sultans, the conqueror of the three continents, he was able to shake the whole world in the XVI century and raise the Ottoman Empire at the height of unknown greatness.

During the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent, the Ottoman Empire reached its peak and became the most powerful empire in the cultural, social, political and military spheres. He made Istanbul the largest city of the medieval Europe and extended the boundaries of his state, reaching Vienna and Morocco.

The first years of the reign of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent were marked by successful political and military actions against Hungary and the Czech Republic, then against Rhodes and the Portuguese influence in the Mediterranean. He "invented" the field artillery due to which he did not lose a single war.

Suleiman accomplished a very aggressive expansion to Europe. Like most non-Europeans, Solomon perfectly knew about the possible consequences of the European invasion, and considered it to be a great threat to Islam. The Islamic world begun to cede under the pressure of Christian Europe. Portugal took by storm several Islamic cities in Eastern Europe to have an impact on the trade with India and Russia. Responding to these threats, Suleiman aimed to destabilize and conquer Europe and pursued a policy of supporting any Islamic country, which undergone European expansion. The results of his expansion far exceeded the initial threats from the European world. However, in the "conquered" countries Suleiman did not produce harsh plantation of Islam and absolute centralization, understanding that the Islamic idea can not reach the same heights in these countries as in the native Islamic boundaries.
